Following Jesus

We have committed ourselves to arranging and re-arranging our lives after that of Jesus. We have decided to devote ourselves to living life His way. Out of adoration for Jesus we desire to be obedient to His call to “Follow Me.” We are committed to finding out how we can respond to this call - practising the ways and deeds of Jesus in this life. We are convinced that His way can become the most natural thing for us to do. Following Jesus and teaching others to do the same is what we have decided to spend our lives on.

Worship

We believe that every aspect of our lives is to be directed toward God as an act of worship. Worship is something that we don't take lightly. It is what we were made for. For this reason we hope and expect to involve God in all we are and do. We seek to encounter and live within His love, grace, mercy and goodness. For us worship is not just about giving God our first and best, but also our all.

Friendship

Not only do we believe that we need God, we also believe that we need each other. We are committed to learning to treat one another as Jesus treated others. This means we seek to become good at serving, forgiving, respecting, including, caring for and preferring one another. For us, loving each other cannot be separated from loving God.

The Presence of God

It is our experience that God is real, that He is close, and that He wants to make His power available to do good in and through us. We believe we were made to experience God. We believe that God wants to be involved in our lives, and to reveal Himself to us – if we let Him. So we are committed to positioning ourselves in His presence and making time to receive His blessing.

Being Real

To us, being real is more important than appearing religious. In fact, we value being non-religious, natural, informal and fun. We recognise that some people need time to investigate or rediscover what following Jesus is all about. We try to provide a no pressure, no strings attached environment where people can do this and become involved when they are ready.
