Jesus said "Let the children come to me...for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Very young children can and often do have an intimate relationship with Jesus. As a church we recognise this and want to honour it. So we have committed ourselves to teaching and encouraging our children to become friends and followers of Jesus too. We seek to help them express this in ways that they feel are meaningful. We believe that children can begin to practise doing what Jesus did, and that they can become at least as competent as adults in this.

Let the children come to Me

Our dream is that growing up for our children will be like it was for Jesus - a time when they would grow and become strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and having the grace of God upon their lives.

Our dream is that our children will come to know God as their Heavenly Father, and that like Jesus they would simply want to spend time in "My Father's House." That for them, to be with God is to be at home - it is a safe place, a fun place, and somewhere they can be themselves. That for them, the "with God" life becomes the most natural and obvious way of living.

For these reasons our kids activities will teach children about Jesus and His desire for relationship with them. We will teach children how to worship, pray and be sensitive to the presence of God. They will learn to care for and serve one another. And most of all, they will learn that being a member of God's family (the church) is just so much fun.
