Healing Services: Here’s what to expect…
The Healing Service starts at 10.30am at the Blackledge Theatre, Godolphin School. For directions, click here.
It will begin with our band leading a time of worship. Most people join in as they pick up the tune, and we project the words onto a screen to make this easier. If you prefer to just listen, that is ok.
Then there will be a talk based on the Bible. It will help you understand that God really does heal people today and that He is good all the time.
Following this there will be opportunity for people to receive prayer. Prayer teams will be available to pray for your specific need.
The service will be over by 11.30am, but we will pray longer if you would like us to.
FAQ
What should I wear?
Most people dress very casually, but the most important thing is that you feel comfortable…we’re pretty sure what you wear doesn’t matter to God, so it doesn’t to us either!
What about kids?
We are very happy to pray for children too. They are most welcome to come to the service and receive prayer with everyone else. We simply ask that parents take responsibility for their children. We do offer a full children’s program on Sunday mornings – your kids would be most welcome to be a part of this.
What if I can’t get there?
If transport is a problem for you, we are offering a free transport service which will pick you up and drop you home. If you would like us to do this, please call 01722 340166 to arrange it.
It may also be that you are not well enough to make it, or that the date doesn’t work for you. Whatever the reason may be, we are very happy to send a team to pray for you at a mutually convenient time. All you need to do is ask. We have a policy of sending women to pray with women and men to pray with men.
What should I do if I am healed?
If you have been healed since we prayed, then we want to give God all the honour, because He is the one who has the power to do this, not any of us. (This is why we do not accept any money or donations for what we do).
● If you are on medication: STAY on it! Keep on doing everything your doctor has advised you to do. Please visit your doctor for them to check what has happened to you, and then take THEIR advice.
● If you are in a church already, please go and tell the leaders of your church the great news.
● Tell people what God has done, and bring any friends or family along with you again. We will happily pray for them too, no matter what their condition or sickness, because nothing is impossible for God!
● Also please let us know you have been healed. It would be a great encouragement to us if you could either come back to us, or telephone our office to let us know you have been healed.
What should I do if I am not healed?
Sometimes it is clear you have not been healed. If that is the case, don’t worry… God still loves you! There are many people who are not healed instantly, but recover over time. We believe that whenever we pray to God, he always responds to our prayer. He is the one in control, so we wait patiently.
If you have not yet been healed:
● Keep seeking after God, and if you know how to, pray.
● If there is some improvement, but not a complete healing, (which even happened occasionally in the bible), we would love to pray for you AGAIN: you can come as many times as you like. We won’t give up if you don’t.
● If there is no improvement AT ALL after a week or two, then we will pray again (and again) if you like. We do not have all the answers, but sometimes we need to persist and try again.
