Children’s Ministry
Higher:hiya is a children’s Ministry whose dream is that children will enter into the fullness of life in relationship with God, NOW. Our children will run way ahead of us in their Spiritual lives. They will have more than we had or have! They will be greater than us. They will go HIGHER into the realms of Heaven than us…they will stand on our shoulders and our ceiling will be their floor. Hence HIGHER.
HIYA is a word that Jesus would have spoken. It is Aramaic for ‘LIFE’. So in giving this name to the Ministry, we are stating our aims, our expectations and our dreams. We are speaking out: “Children, Live HIGHER, have LIFE in all its fullness. “
We work in partnership with parents and with the Holy Spirit. Our goal is to see the next generation love God and love others, MORE. We do this through a program of Bible teaching, fun activities, introducing them to the Holy Spirit and leading them into an encounter with God. We place a high value on worship – where children have the chance to respond to God’s goodness and Heavenly Daddy’s great love for them!
We know that God wants relationship with our children and that there is no half measure for the pint-sized! Therefore we teach children to hear what God is saying, to act on it, and to do all the things that Jesus commissioned His followers to do. We teach them to live in alliance with the Holy Spirit, using Spiritual Gifts – sensing His lead, cultivating His character in their lives, and championing His agenda.
We are Custodians of Potential, Mentors of Royalty. We are passionate about seeing children fulfil their destinies as the next generation of World Changers. Be part of this Legacy and join us as we impact the future.
bAbba’s
We also have a Baby Room which caters for children up to age 2.5 years. bAbba’s aims to introduce the babies to their Heavenly daddy, or Abba! Each week your baby will have a great team of helpers who will pray for them and worship with them, as well as have some fun playing time!
All leaders are CRB checked. We have a ratio of 1:3 in bAbba’s.
1st & 3rd Sundays of the month Higher:Hiya and bAbba’s are available for the whole service.
2nd , 4th & 5th Sundays of the month Higher:Hiya and bAbba’s available after the Worship time in the service.
